Our Wedding

When Ryan and Gabi walked into an East Village bar in January of 2023 after exchanging just a few app messages, neither one knew what to expect. But after 5 hours of chatting, the spark was lit. Things moved quickly, with visits to the spy museum, hot chocolate tours, dim sum dates, and long hangouts in tea cafes. But despite an obvious connection, Ryan took way too long to ask Gabi to formally be his girlfriend. When he finally did in May, things took off and they never looked back. By July of that year, they were climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro together. In August, they were hiking through Acadia National Park. By the time summer ended and Gabi went back to her job as a teacher in September, there was nothing that could keep these two apart. Together, Ryan and Gabi have already traveled the world, celebrated friends and family across the country, and explored New York - despite Gabi being a true born and raised New Yorker, Ryan still has found ways to surprise her in the city as they've built their lives together. In August of 2025, Ryan and Gabi headed to the airport for what she thought was a trip to visit Ryan's family in Cincinnati. Instead, they boarded a flight to St. Lucia, and Gabi had a sense of what was coming next. Ryan officially popped the question at the top of a mountain overlooking the Pitons, and she said yes. And while this may be the end of one chapter of their lives, the rest of their story is just beginning.

What should I wear to the Welcome Party?

The Welcome Party will be held beachside, so the setting is relaxed, breezy, and beautiful — perfect for kicking off the weekend in style! Dress Code: Beach ChicThink elevated resort wear that’s stylish yet comfortable. Ladies: A breezy sundress (above or below the knee) is perfect, paired with sandals or other comfortable footwear suited for the sand. Gentlemen: Lightweight fabrics like linen or cotton are ideal — button-downs, polos, or short-sleeved shirts with chinos or tailored shorts are all great options.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors in Altos de Chavón, a charming replica of a 16th-century Italian village within Casa de Campo. With its cobblestone streets and old-world European architecture, the setting evokes a romantic, timeless atmosphere — and we encourage guests to embrace that vibe! Dress Code: Summer FormalLadies: We ask that you wear long colorful dresses. We'd love to see you in festive summer colors, so feel free to make it fun! Gentlemen: Breathable suits will be the way to go. Please note that the reception will be held indoors with strong air conditioning, so we'd also recommend bringing something in case you get cold! This event is tie optional. A Note for The Ladies: Since there will be grass and cobblestone paths during the ceremony, we recommend chunky heels, wedges, dressy sandals, or stylish flats — stilettos may not be your best friend here!

Golf

For all you golfers out there, we recommend playing one of Casa de Campo's award winning courses! Ryan and Gabi thought Teeth of the Dog was especially spectacular. We have booked tee times on Friday and Saturday mornings at both Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore. Players using our tee times will receive a discount on Dye Fore. Casa de Campo has a multitude of stunning restaurants with absolutely DELICIOUS food. Below are just a few of our favorite restaurants at the resort. Minitas Beach Club &amp; Resturant ($$) - Located at Minitas Beach, this restaurant offers sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea and a wide range of food options! Ryan and Gabi HIGHLY recommend the Dominican Fried Fish, Minitas style! Chilango Taqueria ($) - a cute taquería in Altos de Chavón. This casual and affordable spot is perfect for a no-fuss lunch or dinner! SBG ($$$) - for a more upscale dinner, try SBG. Located at the very end of the Marina past all the boats, SBG is a beautiful place to watch the sunset with high-end food in an elevated atmosphere. Cinco Gelato - If you know Gabi, no day is complete without a stop at the ice cream shop. With locations at both the Marina and Minitas Beach, Cinco Gelato has some fabulous flavors! This counts as a restaurant, right?! We also encourage you to walk around the Marina or Altos de Chavon and explore all of the restaurants options there. Things to Do

Registry

When should I arrive? The weekend festivities officially begin on Friday evening, but we'd suggest arriving on Thursday evening or by Friday afternoon to give yourself some time to unwind. For the early arrivals, head to the beach, play a round of golf, or explore any of the amenities Casa de Campo has to offer! You will also need to stay for a minimum of 3 nights - more information about stay requirements on the Hotel tab. And don't forget, Friday the 19th is a federal holiday (Juneteenth) in the US. Hopefully this makes it a bit easier for your travel plans!

Is the wedding indoors our outdoors? The ceremony will take place outdoors and the reception will take place indoors.

Are my children invited to the wedding? While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on June 20th an adults-only event with the exception of the flower girl and ring bearer. Still, this occasion is as much your vacation as it is a chance to celebrate! So, please feel free to bring your children to the resort if you would like to make this a family trip, but please prepare arrangements for the day of the wedding if you choose to do so. Children are welcome at the Welcome Party on June 19th and any other events or activities. Do I need a passport? Yes, you will need a passport to enter into the Dominican Republic. To be safe, please check your passports ASAP to ensure they do not expire within six months of our wedding date. Some countries do not allow entry within six months of expiry. If your passport is set to expire within six months of our wedding date, we recommend renewing your passport as soon as possible (please plan to allow up to three months for renewal).

The resort is 7000 acres, how do I get around? This is one of our favorite parts of Casa de Campo! Each room comes with a complimentary golf cart, which you may use to travel anywhere throughout the property. For example, if you rent a 5 bedroom villa, the villa will be equipped with 5 golf carts. If you rent a single hotel room, it will come with one golf cart. Complimentary shuttles are also available via the concierge. We will provide transportation to and from Altos de Chavon on the wedding day -- more details are on the home page.

What are the customs requirements? All passengers are required to fill out an E-Ticket when entering or exiting the Dominican Republic. There is NO charge to complete this E-Ticket. Is Casa de Campo safe? Yes, this resort is very safe, heavily gated, and secure. Only hotel guests are allowed on the premises!

My Spanish is a bit rusty. Will I be okay? Yes! Casa de Campo is a very popular resort for international travelers, so English is widely spoken. If you plan to travel outside the resort, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on some key phrases though.

Is there an all-inclusive option? Yes! You have the option to upgrade to all-inclusive for an additional cost per person per day. By default, the room block shows standard rates. If you’d like to upgrade, you can do so upon arrival. Here’s what’s included:- Unlimited meals, snacks, and drinks at select restaurants &amp; bars- Unlimited non-motorized sports at Minitas Beach (kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, etc.)- Unlimited horseback riding (reservations required)- Unlimited use of tennis courts- One-time experience of 25 shots at the shooting center

Casa de Campo requires us to have a rough idea of how many rooms will be needed for our wedding. We know that planning a trip to the Dominican Republic can be a big decision, so this soft RSVP is not binding and your real RSVP can be different later. This is just to give us an idea of how many rooms we will need for our hotel block to ensure that everyone has a room!
